How does Don Simón manage to get into over half of Spanish households?

The wine industry is very active in social media and many wineries and wine brands try to build up their branding online, so as to win new clients among wine lovers. This is the case of the García Carrión Family and Don Simón, one of its brands. They have both carefully built up their presence on Facebook and launch promotions quite often to make their followers get to know their products and encourage them to interact with the brand in social media.  Thanks to their constant activity, they manage to attract over 1,000 participants every week in the promotions they launch in their fan pages. This hard work on Facebook has caught our attention and have pushed us to contact Roberto Fernández Barbudo, Online Marketing Manager at García Carrión, to learn more about the guidelines they follow on Facebook and why.

 Roberto, what results do you achieve from your Facebook promotions?

The activity generated with the promotions is very constant throughout the year, around 1,000 participants every week.

What do you think have been the keys to your success on this social network?

The fact that we are a well-known brand with a strong leadership makes it easier for us to boost our presence on social media. The Don Simón brand, for example, has entered into over half of Spanish households.

What do you think is the most remarkable aspect of your promos?

They are an attractive way for users to interact with the brand and get to know our products.

How often do you post promotions on Facebook and why do you do it that often?

We post promotions with Cool Tabs every week. We do it in order to keep our follower community alive, while simultaneously putting forward our large choice of products so that participants get to know them all, not just the most popular and best-selling ones.

What channels do you use to spread your promotions?

Our promotions on Facebook are mainly spread through advertising activities on Facebook. We sometimes use other channels that focus more on Branding. However, when it comes to participation, it is easier to achieve better results when the promotion is spread through the same channels than those already used by the users we want to attract.

Could you please describe briefly how Cool Tabs services have helped you fulfill your objectives?
