Facebook has once again updated its conditions for fan pages and … Surprise! You can include 20% text on the cover photo.
Yes, friends, Facebook said in its guidelines that the covers could not include prices or purchase information, or contact information, or references to actions of Facebook such as “Like”, “Share” or an arrow pointing to these buttons, nor “calls to action”. Well, that has changed. If you take a look now to “Facebook Pages Terms“, you will realize that instead of all that it says:
CoverAll covers are public. This means that anyone who visits your Page will be able to see your cover. Covers can’t be deceptive, misleading, or infringe on anyone else’s copyright. You may not encourage people to upload your cover to their personal timelines. Covers may not include images with more than 20% text.
So as we support the fulfillment of the the rules of Facebook scrupulously, we encourage you to actualize your cover and take advantage of the 20% text. How? Well, a good way is including promotions or contests that you have published for any user accessing your fan page to see and participate.
Facebook has given an opportunity to their covers, let us use without filling our cover of spam!
